The smallest DJ of the world has 6 legs. His family name is „Formicidae“ and he is busy in sawing leaves in the tropical forest of Amazonia. Kuaishen Auson has provided an interesting sideline-job to the colony of ants: the insects operate – without beeing aware of it – the turntables of Kuaishen’s installation „Scratching Beethoven“. The collectively organized movements transform Beethoven’s „Fidelio“ - the hymn of the individual’s freedom. An unconscious interaction with a slight association of „Matrix“.

Beethoven’s compositions and his personality  are the focal point for several installations and scenographic works. After a successful start in 2006  this was the second cooperation between Heide Hagebolling, Academy of Media Arts Cologne and Ilona Schmiel, director of the International Beethoven Festival Bonn. The exhibition and performances in 2009 were additionally supported by the Kunstmuseum Bonn, Bonner Kunstverein and the Beethovenhalle Bonn.

The exhibition opened Sept. 3rd with Beethoven’s „Mondscheinsonaten“ (Moonlight Sonata), a poetic performance of the groupe „SpaceTimePirates (RaumZeitPiraten) Tobias Damegen and Moritz Ellrich. The vernissage of Eva Kehl-Cremers’ installation „Architektique“ took place during the official opening of the Beethoven Festival. The works of Jongwon Choi, Kuaishen Auson and Oliver Salkic were presented at the Art Association Bonn.
