Tobias Daemgen and Moritz Ellerich work with different interpretations of Beethoven’s „Sonata quasi una Fantasia – Mondscheinsonate/Moonlight Sonata“. Using complex and partly bizarre optic-acoustic instruments they explore classic and popular interpretations of Moonlight sonatas - from classic concerts, historic interpretations, popular film music to Game Boy versions – and relate them to scientific, artistic and mass mediated images of the planet. They perform in a poetic, intermedial space.
